I have a new build and am just looking ideas?At David McCarthy Kitchens we love to inspire our clients with design ideas and creations. We can design up your dream kitchen based on your building plans, provide electrical and plumbing plans and full 3D technical drawings of your kitchens. The fee for this is €400. When the time comes for you to purchase your kitchen, we will refund this design fee in full.

Are your kitchens manufactured in Ireland?Absolutely! We’re proud to source 100% of our supplies and services from within Ireland. This not only allows us to be competitive but, by supporting other Irish businesses in our county and throughout Ireland we’re also helping you and us do our bit for the economy and the environment.

What do I need to bring to receive a quote?Architects plans or measurements of your existing room. Pictures of the space, if it is an existing room with no alterations to be made. If you can’t make it to our showrooms, feel free to send your measurements, pictures and ideas to info@mccarthykitchens.ie. Rest assured; we always check the measurements once an order has been placed by carrying out a full site visit.

Can you remove and dispose of my old kitchen?Yes! Our fully trained and super helpful team can remove old kitchens and prep the area for the installation team. This can be discussed with your design consultant.

How much will my kitchen cost?The cost of your new kitchen is dependent on so many variables (e.g. size, number of units, worktop and appliances required – the list is never ending!) However, a rule of thumb of 8% of a home’s value is often quoted by ‘design experts’ that people should spend on replacing a tired, worn out, out-of-date kitchen with a quality new one without overspending. However, the true answer is spend what you can afford on the best you can get so that you only have to do it once!

What do I need to organise before my new kitchen is installed?David McCarthy Kitchens offers a full installation service to ensure the fitting of your kitchen goes as smoothly as possible. Please see our guidelines below. If shelving underneath sink units are removed by plumbers. David McCarthy Kitchens is not responsible for refitting or any damage that may be caused. It is the responsibility of the client to have the hole bored for the extractor duct as David McCarthy Kitchens does not carry out this work. Ducting is not supplied free of charge with the extractor fan, it must be purchased separately. Appropriate duct sizes must be ascertained and fit in accordance with extractor specification. In relation to heating, David McCarthy Kitchens recommends that the heating is on for 2 or 3 weeks before the kitchen is fitted. Insufficient drying before the kitchen is installed will cause problems with units swelling and doors sticking. David McCarthy Kitchens is not responsible for any such damage or loss.

I have a new build and my engineer needs plans?At David McCarthy Kitchens we love to inspire our clients with design ideas and creations. We can design up your dream kitchen for your new home based on your building plans, provide electrical and plumbing plans and full 3D technical drawings of your new kitchen. This will be exactly what your engineer or architect is looking for and will enable you to position electricals, plumbing and other services in the correct position before the build starts – saving time and money for you. It will also take the stress out of choosing a kitchen style until you actually need to. The fee for this is €400. When the time comes for you to purchase your kitchen at David McCarthy Kitchens, further along in your build process, we will refund this design fee in full off your final invoice.

Do I need to make an appointment in advance?Yes. The best thing to do is to make an appointment with one of our designers – this way they can ensure you have enough time. Of course, you are also very welcome to visit our showroom during opening hours without an appointment, however we cannot guarantee a designer will be free to discuss your kitchen.

Can you organise the electricity or plumbing?Yes! Our full project management service means we can arrange for any plumbing, electrical installation, plastering and building work be carried out by our qualified and certified not to mention super friendly electrician, plumber or plasterer.

Will I receive drawings of my kitchen?Using your measurements our designers can show you what your kitchen may look like in 3D format using the latest technology in the kitchen industry. If you decide to buy from David McCarthy Kitchens, we will give you a detailed drawing of your new kitchen once you pay your booking deposit. We recommend that customers study the drawings carefully before signing their contract. It should be understood that drawings of the plans are a representation of the kitchen and should not be taken as the actual kitchen itself.

Can you take over my entire project?Yes! Our full project management service means we can arrange for any plumbing or electrical installation work be carried out by our qualified and certified not to mention super friendly electrician and plumber. We can also provide many types of flooring, skirting, carpets and our friendly interior design team help out in this process also.
